Early life
Sage Stallone was born in Los Angeles, California,[4] the elder son of Sasha Czack andSylvester Stallone. He was the brother of Seargeoh Stallone, and half-brother of Sistine, Sophia, and Scarlet Stallone. He came from a show business family. His uncle was actor and singer Frank Stallone, and his grandmother was Jackie Stallone. Jennifer Flavin was his stepmother, and his godfather was actor Joe Spinell. Stallone was of Italian, French andRussian-Jewish ancestry on his father's side.
Career
As a child, Sage Stallone had made a guest appearance on the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, brought by his grandmother Jackie Stallone, who promoted the series.[5]Sage Stallone made his acting debut alongside his father in the fifth installment of theRocky franchise titled Rocky V (1990) where he played Robert Balboa, the on-screen son of his father's title character. He also appeared with his father in the 1996 movie Daylight. Since then, he had acted in lesser profile films. In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawskico-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation films. Stallone directed his first short film Vic, which won the 2006 Boston Film Festival “Best New Filmmaker” award. Sage Stallone’s last working projects were his appearances in Vincent Gallo's last two films Promises Written in Water and The Agent. Both films were shown in main competition at the 2010 Venice Film Festival and in the Toronto International Film Festival. Since those screenings Vincent Gallo has said both films will not be released or screened again as he has no interest in a relationship with the public. Both films were officially invited into the 2012 Whitney Museum Biennial and are listed in the official catalog however Vincent Gallo eventually rejected screening either film at the Whitney Museum. It has been said by many who were lucky enough to see Vincent Gallo's last films, that Sage Stallone’s performance in The Agent is one of the best performances from any actor ever. After filming The Agent Sage Stallone was quoted as saying Vincent Gallo was the best filmmaker alive.
Personal life
Stallone was married briefly to Starlin Wright. The marriage was annulled in 2008.[6]
Death
Stallone was found dead in his Studio City home on July 13, 2012.[7] Law enforcement says that he could have been dead for at least three days up to a week.[8] No one had heard from him in days. LAPD told TMZ that evidence indicated Sage's death was accidental. He was 36 years old.[9]
